Why We Built This

We built the app we wish we had.

Head To Heel started in the car after competitions, in the quiet rides home, the “I messed up” conversations, and the moments when confidence disappeared.

As a dance dad and a dancer, we lived both sides of it. We knew what it felt like to be the performer carrying the pressure, and we knew what it felt like to be the parent who just wanted to say the right thing and help.

We kept coming back to the same truth: dancers train their bodies every day, but almost no one teaches them how to train their minds.

So we built what we could not find. A daily support system for confidence, pressure, mistakes, and recovery. Something that helps dancers in the moments that matter, and helps parents feel useful in those moments too.

What we lived

  • Backstage nerves
  • The silence after a tough performance
  • The car rides home
  • Not knowing how to reset after a mistake
  • Wanting better words as a parent

What we built

  • Tools for when things go wrong
  • Coach K support in the moment
  • Reflection that leads to a next step
  • Confidence support for dancers and parents
  • A system rooted in real dance life

How it shows up in the app

These are the kinds of moments we wanted to support: the pressure before a run, the spiral after a mistake, and the need for one calm next step.

Head To Heel home screen

Daily support that feels personal

The home screen is built to meet dancers where they are and point them to the next rep that matters most.

Head To Heel reflect screen

A better reset after hard moments

Instead of staying stuck in the mistake, dancers can choose a path, process what happened, and move forward.

Head To Heel Coach K screen

Real help in the moment

Coach K is there for the actual pressure moments, so dancers get a next step when they need it, not hours later.

This is not theory. It is real dance life.

From Head… to Heel.
